Selena Gomez trys her fame in new fragrance "Selena Gomez"

Gomez with the fragrance

Selena Gomez this time appears in the ad of her first signature fragrance which will be available in the Macy's departmental stores this month named "Selena Gomez". This will also be sold at Nordstrom, Dillard's and Ulta later in the summer. In the ad she wears a strapless, purple gown posing in a soaking-wet Wizard of Waverly Place star.

This former Disney Channel actress 19 years old girlfreind of teen singer star Justin Bieber, told OnTheRedCarpet.com that she sniffed many different fragrances for three hours until she found the perfect one.

"I had three hours of testing, the first time I went into the lab, I guess, and they had a little briefcase and I went through three hours of smelling every kind of scent there is possible in the world," she said. "So that one was a really long process. But what we did for the final, final fragrance was my fans got to pick out the final one with me."

Gomez's fans participated in a vote to probe into the secrets of three fragrances of brand, which is bottled in a sleek, purple bottle resembling a gown, topped with gold and purple lips. They selected raspberry, purple freesia and vanilla. The fragrance itself represents Selena Gomez’s first foray into grown-up fashion- the Disney star explains that the vibe she was going for was “simple and pretty.”

She said in and interview: "My mom wears it every day. She loves it and she gets so excited to wear it. It's just timeless. It's a very fresh, classic scent that you could wear at any age. It's not overbearing."

The"Selena Gomez"
Gomez achieved a fame with the Disney Channel series "The Wizards of Waverly Place," which aired its final episode in January, and has starred in films such as "Ramona and Beezus" and "Monte Carlo." She can be seen next in the comedy "Spring Breakers," alongside James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens, another Disney Channel alum who starred in the "High School Musical" movies.

In the film, she plays one of four college girls who rob a restaurant to pay for a spring break vacation. They are sent to jail and get involved with Franco's character, a drug and arms dealer, who bails them out. The film is set for release in 2013.

"It was really, really fun. It's an independent movie and it's a little bit smaller but it's a very different role than anything I've done before," Gomez told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "James Franco plays this character who's more of like kind of, not the villain, necessarily, but he's the one that kind of gets us into a little bit of a mess and he's just really great to work with. And Vanessa's been amazing. It was a great, great shoot."

The new fragrance ad adds a new chapter which hopefully adds her fame like the "Selena Goemez" that features notes of raspberry, chocolate, and vanilla.
