The Mega Million lotto turns the people into frenzy: Greatest ever in America

The Mega Million jackpot in the World history is closing near as the winners will be announced at 11 p.m. ET. The jackpot has created a nationwide lotto mania rocketed to $640 million Friday morning. The jackpot currently stands at $640 million, with a possibility of growing even larger before tonight's drawing. Tickets will be sold until 10:45 p.m. ET on Friday, for $1 apiece. In New York, $1.6 million worth of tickets were sold between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.

The enormous prize brings a one-time cash option of an estimated $462 million before taxes, or a winner could choose annual payments of about $24 million before taxes for 26 years.

"This is history, and we’re enjoying it," California spokeswoman Donna Cordova said Friday. "This is just a shared moment for the entire country. We’re rolling into uncharted territory here."

Lotto fever struck Los Angeles soon after officials announced there was no winner in Tuesday’s $363 million drawing. Officials say they have met every night since Tuesday and watched the number grow from $540 million Thursday to the astronomical figured released Friday.

More tickets are expected to be sold before the 8 p.m. drawing Friday night. Lines hours long have formed at places deemed “lucky retailers” by the lottery and stores like Bluebird Liquor in Hawthorne that are known to sell winning tickets. “It’s so high — I mean, that’s astronomical,” said Charlie Blair, 70, a retired mechanical engineer.

Blair had never played the lottery until he heard about the record payout, and he headed to a gas station near his Koreatown apartment Thursday to buy a single ticket.

According to the California Lottery, the chance of winning Mega Millions is 1 in about 176 million. Or as California statistician Mike Orkin, puts it: If you buy 50 tickets a week, you will win the jackpot every 68,000 years.

In spite of refusal to give in, Jennie Garth failed to save her marriage

Single

Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise actress Jennie Garth is having a split with her husband “Twilight” actor Peter Facinelli, according to People Magazine. This 39 years old actress and director was unwilling to end the relationship 11 years (2001-2012) but failed. She at last opens up this new issue to People magazine about her recent split from soon-to-be ex-husband Peter Facinelli, who filed for divorce on Wednesday citing "irreconcilable differences."

When Peter Facinelli told Jennie Garth last fall that he wanted a divorce, she at first refused to give in.  "I was very resistant," she tells PEOPLE in an exclusive new interview. "I didn't want it to happen. It took me some time to come to peace with it"

The pair at last announced that they were ending their marriage two weeks ago. But Garth, who will soon star in the CMT reality show “Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country,” admits that career realities, such as watching Facinelli be intimate with other actresses onscreen, were tough for her to handle.

“There was jealousy over having to see your husband on screen with another woman,” she says. “It wasn’t always easy."

The 39-year-old, who turns 40 next week, also says that the pair tried therapy, only to watch their marriage continue to unravel. She adds that she still wishes Facinelli “had wanted to try harder, try again, try something else.”

According to People, the couple has asked for joint custody of their three daughters, Luca, 14, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 5. Now, Garth is focusing on building a new life as a single mom.

“I can’t change it. I can’t be sad and stay in bed about it anymore. I have to move forward," she tells People. “I’m slowing finding my own voice again...There are days when it seems I got it all figured out and days when I lose sight. I just have to keep on my path.”

Megan Fox is pregnant and she and her husband are very excited

Transformer actress, Megan Fox is pregnant and she and her husband are very excited. Sources tell Star Magazine that Fox and husband Brian Austin Green are expecting a child together. While this would be Fox's first baby, Green has a 10-year-old son with ex and fellow "Beverly Hills 90210" alum Vanessa Marcil.

"They just found out and are incredibly excited," Star's source says, warning that it could be a while before the couple goes public with the news. "It's still early, so they are only telling close friends and family members." The source adds, "Megan has become a great stepmom, and Brian knows she'll be wonderful with the baby. She has really grown in the past couple of years. Megan used to only be concerned with her career, but now family comes first."

Fox appears to be very close with Green's son, Kassius Lijah. The 10-year-old served as the only witness when Green and Fox married in 2010, after six years of dating, at the Four Seasons Resort in Hawaii. Fox recently told Cosmopolitan magazine that she and Green would be ready for children soon. "I want at least two, probably three [kids]," she said. "I've always been maternal."

On the other side Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green engaged in a violent game of pop-a-pap, according to a new lawsuit, and the alleged victim is looking for a payout from the incident. In the suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, photographer Delbert Shaw claims that Green pummeled him in the face and tackled him after he took pictures of Green's wife Fox in a bikini on a beach in Hawaii.

Just for being transgender Jenna Talackova removed from Miss Universe Canda

“I am very disappointed with the decision taken by the Miss Universe … organizers,” Jenna Talackova said in her reaction as she was disqualified for the Miss Universe Canada. Jenna Talackova, the 23-year-old transsexual contestant, was set to compete in the Miss Universe Canada beauty pageant this May.

On Friday, Talackova, a Vancouver resident, was booted from the Miss Universe Canada competition "because she did not meet the requirements to compete despite having stated otherwise on her entry form," the organization said in a statement.

Miss Canada Universe released the following statement, “Jenna Talackova from Vancouver, British Columbia will not compete in the 2012 Miss Universe Canada competition because she did not meet the requirements to compete despite having stated otherwise on her entry form. We do, however, respect her goals, determination and wish her the best.”

No word on which "requirements" Talackova lacked. Jenna Talackova, 23, was born male but has identified as a female since age 4. She began hormone therapy at 14 and underwent gender reassignment surgery at 19.

She was listed on the official Miss Universe Canada website as a contestant until it was discovered that she was transgender. As the blogosphere buzzed about the news, the organization quietly removed her profile from the site. She tweeted, "I'm not going to just let them disqualify me over discrimination." She says she has been "disqualified for being born."

Miss Universe Canada's official rules do not contain any mention of sex changes or of elective surgery. In order to be a candidate, one must be a Canadian citizen between 18-27, and must not be married or pregnant.

Anna Faris repeats her hosting "Saturday Night Live": celebrate Twitter anniversary

"Scary Movie film series" and “The House Bunny” star Anna Faris is hosting Saturday Night Live tonight. Though it is repeat performance of October 15'12, it's has something worth to watch. The musical guest is Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan Drake. Drake is a personal friend of Kentucky coach John Calipari so look for a possible “Go Cats” reference in tonights performance.

Actress Anna Faris made a name for herself in broad comedies, starting with the horror spoof-within-a-spoof "Scary Movie" (2000) - itself a send-up of other horror parodies like "Scream" (1996) and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1997). Faris made an immediate impact, which led to several sequels atop other studio comedies like "The Hot Chick" (2003), though she wisely began to break away, following a surprisingly memorable

Here’s SNL’s official video promo for the broadcast on NBC:

Anna Faris most recently appeared in the movie “What’s Your Number?” in 2011. That is if you don’t include her voice appearance in the movie “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked” which came out this past December. “What’s Your Number” did fairly miserable at the box office grossing a total of just $14,008,193 in the U.S. Considering marketing and production costs it lost money.

On Wednesday March 21 night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Kimmel celebrated the 6th anniversary of Twitter by having a group of A-listers read the meanest tweets they have received. To celebrate the anniversary, Jimmy Kimmel had celebrities read aloud some of the Tweets they've received on the micro blogging site.

What do Anna Faris, Kristen Bell, Louis C.K. and Will Ferrell all have in common? They’re all celebrities, yes, but in addition to that they also happen to have Twitter followers that despise them – and tweet to let them know about it.

Meley Cyrus engaged: showed her engagement ring on the twitter

Miley engagement ring on Twitter
Miley Stewart on the Disney Channel sitcom "Hannah Montana"(2006-2011), Miley Cyrus recently posted a photo on her Twitter Page. In the photo she is seen with new nail polish, but what is most prominently seen, is her new engagement ring. Cyrus, who is currently dating with Autralian actor “The Hunger Games” star Liam Hemsworth, hasn’t commented on the ring yet. So is Miley Cyrus engaged?

A source close to the celebrity couldn’t confirm the engagement but did say that Hemsworth and Cyrus have talked about marriage before. The source told OK Magazine: “They’re still keeping it a big secret, but they’re seriously talking marriage. Liam is crazy about her! Miley wants the whole nine yards as far as a big wedding goes.”

And what better time to do it. Hemsworth is about to become one of the biggest movie stars in the country. “The Hunger Games” brought in more than $20 million during it’s opening midnight showings and is set to have one of the biggest opening weekends in movie history.

Miley and Liam have been dating for about a year. The Christian Post notes that they couple did take a brief break because Liam got tired of Miley’s partying. They’ve made up since then, however, and it looks like they’ll soon commit to each other.

When Miley tweeted the photo, she didn’t make any mention of marriage. Miley wrote: “I am soooo obsessed with @jennahipp nail foundations! It looks so chic and classic!”

A source told Hollywood Life: “They are madly in love and inseparable. (Miley) thinks Liam is the one!”
Do you think Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are engaged? If they aren’t, do you think Miley Cyrus knew that she was churning the rumor mill by posting the above picture?

El DeBarge: bailed out from the charge of drug possession

R&B singer El DeBarge was arrested on Monday in Encino by undercover narcotics officers of LAPD. However she will not face charges following his arrest for suspicion of drug possession with intent to sell, authorities said. The DA has rejected the case, citing "lack of sufficient evidence." Police arrested the 50-year-old on Monday, March 19 after officers said they saw a possible narcotics transaction in Encino.

According to documents obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com, DeBarge was seen walking into an underground parking garage. Police told the singer to exit the garage, after which he and another man named Curtis Freeman were searched.

Authorities found a "baggie of cocaine base (rocks)" they claimed belonged to DeBarge in the garage where he had been spotted, but not on the singer. They found $40 on the other man, who told officers he went to the garage to buy a "rock" from the singer, which DeBarge denied.

DeBarge said he had been living with his sister, who upon arrival, told officers that DeBarge was in a drug program for using crack cocaine, but has been clean for a year.Freeman was also arrested on suspicion of attempted narcotics possession.

In February 2011, DeBarge checked into a rehabilitation center to deal with issues stemming from years of substance abuse. The singer has been arrested several times. In 2001, he was arrested for cocaine possession but was given probation. He was arrested again in 2006 for possession of a controlled substance and was again given probation. He served a two-year jail stint following a 2008 cocaine possession arrest. He was released from jail in October 2009. This time DeBarge was reportedly booked and released on $30,000 bail. He is due back in court next month.

The 50-year-old singer is best known as the lead singer of the family group DeBarge during the 1980s with the group he formed with his siblings that charted No. 1 hits such as "Rhythm of the Night."

Constance Francesca Hilton goes to attorney for her mother conservatorship

Constance Francesca Hilton
Constance Francesca Hilton, Zsa Zsa Gabor's only daughter by Conrad Hilton (1942–46; divorced), asked a judge on Tuesday to place her mother in a conservatorship that will independently control the ailing glamor queen's medical care and financial needs.

Constance claims Gabor's husband, Frederic von Anhalt (1986–present), has been isolating her 95-year-old mother and leaving her heavily sedated. She also questioned whether her mother's finances are being properly handled by von Anhalt. Gabor, 95, has been in declining health for the past few years, and in 2011 endured a leg amputation and a broken hip.

"By isolating me from my mother, not only does her current husband deprive her of my love and companionship, but he goes against estate planning documents that appear to reflect her wishes that he not be in sole control of her affairs," Hilton wrote in a declaration accompanying her petition. Hilton is asking the court to appoint her as Gabor's conservator, although her attorney, Kenneth Kossoff, said they would be willing to have an independent third party handle all oversight duties.

Hilton and von Anhalt have squabbled for years over Gabor's care. Von Anhalt blasted Hilton in a phone interview, saying his wife is comfortable and that he cares for her every night. "It's probably her last card she's playing now," he said of Hilton. "It's all about money. She's afraid, her mother passing away eventually, and there's nothing."

A news release issued before the filing stated that Hilton has been waiting for a year for financial and medical information about her mother that husband von Anhalt has refused to disclose. Von Anhalt said he is acting in his wife's best interest and is forced to sell her Bel Air mansion to cover his wife's debts and medical bills. He said expenses amount to around $30,000 a month, even though Gabor's monthly income is only $6,000. The first hearing on the matter was scheduled for May 2 before Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz, who also oversees the conservatorship of Britney Spears.

Gabor, a Hungarian-born sexpot of the 1950s and 1960s, has been in declining health and didn't make an appearance at a February birthday party hosted at her mansion.

Kirk Cameron defends himself for his anti-homosexual feeling

“Growing Pains” star Kirk Cameron is defending controversial statements he made earlier this month on “Piers Morgan Tonight” that homosexuality is "unnatural" and "destructive."  Kirk Cameron says he "absolutely" does not hate gay people and is surprised that his previous remarks that condemned homosexuality caused such a firestorm.

In an interview Tuesday with Today, the Growing Pains star denied that he is homophobic and clarified the comments he made on Piers Morgan Tonight.

“I was surprised, frankly, that people were surprised by the things that I’ve said,” he told host Ann Curry. “I have been consistent for 15 years as a Christian. I’m a Bible-believing Christian. What I would have thought was more newsworthy is if I had said something that contradicted the word of God, if I had contradicted my faith.”

Curry asked the actor if he hated homosexuals. “Absolutely not,” he said. “I love all people, I hate no one…When you take a subject and reduce it to something like a four-second soundbite and a check mark on a ballot, I think that that’s inappropriate and insensitive. To edit it down to that, it certainly didn’t reflect my full heart on the matter.” He added: "Nobody should mistreat anybody."

Alex Smith flies to Miami to talk to settle in Dolphin!

After being spurned by Peyton Manning, the Dolphins had a brief, unproductive courtship with Matt Flynn, then turned their attention Sunday to Alex Smith, the San Francisco 49ers free agent.

This Former San quarterback Alex Smith has flown overnight from San Francisco to Miami, worked out for the Miami Dolphins, and is now in contract negotiations with the AFC East team. A stunning development that has been perpetuated by the Peyton Manning sweepstakes, the 49ers may be without a backup plan if Manning chooses to sign with the Denver Broncos or Tennessee Titans.

Earlier in the day, Matt Flynn, the former Green Bay Packers quarterback and backup to Aaron Rodgers, signed a multiyear deal with the Seattle Seahawks. After missing out on Flynn and being shunned by Manning, Plan C for the Dolphins was Smith. With contract negotiations already under way, it is a matter of time before Smith signs a "multiyear deal worth $8 million a year."

If Smith decides to sign with the Dolphins, the 49ers will definitely need to put all their eggs in one basket and try to woo Manning to San Francisco. While it's still uncertain as to which team is his likely destination, the 49ers do have an upper hand over the Broncos and Titans because of their position to win now. After signing wide receivers Randy Moss and Mario Manningham, re-signing Pro Bowl cornerback Carlos Rogers, featuring stars on offense such as Frank Gore and Vernon Davis, and bringing back all 11 starters of their top-flight defense, San Francisco presents a favorable destination for the elite quarterback.

Despite the 49ers talent, Manning could still choose to sign with the Broncos or Titans for a variety of reasons. With Flynn now off the market and Smith possibly in Miami, there would be limited free agent options for the 49ers.

Since head coach Jim Harbaugh operates a West Coast offense, the 49ers could pursue Matt Hasselbeck, a veteran who is familiar with the system and would likely be released if Manning were to sign with Tennessee. After Hasselbeck, the list becomes quite bare with names such as Kyle Orton, Jason Campbell, Donovan McNabb, Rex Grossman, and even former 49ers quarterback Jeff Garcia. If the 49ers do not choose any of the other free agent options, second-year Colin Kaepernick could suddenly find himself as the team's new starting quarterback.

By the time next season starts, plenty of teams will feature new quarterbacks under center. Thanks to Manning and two great rookie quarterbacks (Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III) in the NFL Draft, many teams have been involved in a risky game of quarterback swapping. For the 49ers, Smith's contract talks with the Dolphins only intensifies the need for Manning in red and gold.

Lady Gaga wants a soccer team from inside her bump out of media connection

Sex symbol stylish singer Lady Gaga wants a bunch of little Soccer player to play in team she wants to make. All the players will be her kids. It's interesting, right? In the new interview on "Oprah's Next Chapter," which will be aired at 9 PM on March 18, 2012, Lady Gaga reveals that she "wants kids" and is looking to a "soccer team" sized family.

"Yeah, yeah, I do," the Grammy winner told Oprah, when asked if she wanted a large family.
"I mean I'm being superfluous [about the soccer team], but I don't want to have one [child], I want a few," she continued.

She then made a baby bump gesture, telling Oprah, "I want to experience that." And though she's been linked to "Vampire Diaries"actor Taylor Kinney, the singing superstar said she's "not yet" looking to settle down. Gaga also explained that she's looking to take a break from being in the media spotlight after speaking with the TV great.

"Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time," she said. "No press, no television, if my mom calls and says, 'Did you hear about...' I shut it all off." It's likely that Lady Gaga fans will still hear from the singer on her Twitter account, where she has 20 million followers and remains the most popular person on the micro-blogging social network.

Lady Gaga's interview with Winfrey was filmed mostly at her childhood home in New York City and Part of the special was also filmed at Harvard University during last month's launch of the Born This Way Foundation, which was endorsed by the talk show host.

The 25-year-old singer, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, will also be joined on the talk show by her mother Cynthia Germanotta, who admitted that she and Gaga's father worried about their daughter's mental health after watching a performance.

The new iPad in market to hit a new record in 4G-ready tablet computer

Happy girl to Have one new iPad in Sydney
Apple's new iPad goes on sale to be another hot-seller. Hundreds of crazy for i-pad consumer queuing before dawn in Sydney to be the first to get their hands on the 4G-ready tablet computer as the company's share price hit $600 for the first time.

The eager faces lined up around city streets to buy the iPad 3, one firm that took the device apart said Qualcomm, Broadcom, and Samsung Electronics had all held onto their prized roles as key parts suppliers. Apple's own outlets were beaten to the punch for the first store sales by Australian phone company Telstra, which started selling in Sydney and Melbourne just after midnight, eight hours before Apple's flagship stores opened.

Crowds were down on previous Apple launches, but there was still excitement as stores opened. The buzz helped propel its shares to record highs in U.S. trade on Thursday, with Apple stock touching a high of $600.01 before easing back. It peaked half an hour after the first iPad went on sale in Australia, extending the market worth of the world's most valuable company to almost $560 billion. Only a month earlier, it had crossed $500. The stock has jumped 45 percent this year. At the closing price of $585.56, the stock is still more expensive than the $499 starting price for a Wi-Fi-only iPad.

Apart from Australia, the new iPad is going on sale on Friday in nine other countries, including the United States, Canada, Singapore, France and Britain. Elsewhere around the globe, diehards had already begun lining up in front of Apple stores in Munich, Paris, London, Singapore and Hong Kong.

The third-generation iPad is seen more as a collection of incremental improvements, such as a high-definition "retina" display and a better camera, rather than a major innovation. The inner workings of the iPad are similar to previous models, based on a "teardown" by a tinkerer from California gadget-repair firm iFixit, who queued up in Australia to get one of the new tablets and quickly took it apart for a Web blog.

There are three main tablet challengers to consider as an alternative to the "iPad 3."

1. The Asus Tranformer Prime
2. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
3. The iPad 2.

Miley Cyrus in the red carpet premiere of "The Hunger Games": revealing two-piece by Emilio Pucci

Former Disney Darling, actress-singer Miley Cyrus joined her boyfrien Australian actor Liam Hemsworth in the premiere of "The Hunger Games", to support her friend's who plays Gale Hawthorne in the film. Miley joined the star-studded Hollywood premiere looking sex-ay as ever when she appeared on the red carpet in a revealing two-piece by Emilio Pucci(the same designer as Paltrow's outfit) that showed off her cleavage and abs. The skin-revealing look is a major departure from the ultra-glamorous Roberto Cavalli gown Cyrus, 19, wore at the Vanity Fair Oscar party last month.

Miley and her friend  Gale Hawthorne in the premiere of "The Hunger Games"

And when Ashlan Gorse and Catt Sadler caught up with Miles on the charcoal and gold carpet at L.A. Live, they asked her what she thought the hardest part of filming H.G. was. To which she said, "I think the hardest part for Liam was being away from me."

She continues:"And his brother and his family," Miley—who donned a gorgeous glittery bustier and long black skirt by Pucci—explained. "At least he's not in a tour bus and is in a nice hotel somewhere. It's a little less bumpy, a little more sleep." Liam seemed happy enough about his Hunger shoot though:

"On one hand, it's hard being on your own, but on the other, I'm making movies and it's something I love," Liam (who gushed about how "stunning" his girlfriend looked) said. "One of the great things about this job is traveling getting to see the country and the world."

And Miley was more than happy to keep chitchatting about her man, especially when it comes to their alone time together and fending off those pesky paparazzi: "We have three dogs, so that takes up most of our time," Miley told us about what the twosome do during their downtime. "The only time we leave the house is to go to the pet store or the park...The paparazzi the other day, I told him to get a real job and he said ‘Yeah,
you too!' and it's kind of true."

"I thought he was kind of quick," Miley (who said she feels most comfortable spending time on the "chill" East Coast and in Nashville) laughed. "I said ‘You can have the picture, that's funny.'" Unfortunately, the media attention won't be dying down anytime soon. Now that Liam is a huge franchise star, after all. "I'm probably going to see this about 13 times," Miley said about seeing Hunger Games for the first time tonight. "I'm going to be a fan soon after this comes out. I'm going to be addicted."

Julianne Moore playing Alaskan governor Sarah Palin in "Game Change"

Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin

Julianne Moore, four time oscar nominee, Portrays Sarah Palin in HBO's show "Game Change," which premiered on Saturday March 10, at 9 PM on HBO. She is playing the role opposite to Ed Harris, who plays Senator John McCain.

At the premmire 51 year-old actress looked stunning. Julianne told Access Hollywood correspondent Jill Martin at the film's premiere in New York City on Tuesday night, "You want to be as accurate as possible... It was only four years ago, so people remember everything. So when you're playing somebody who's a living figure and culturally significant figure, you better try to get it right."

Julianne said the research involved in both the book and the movie, about the Presidential election of 2008, was extensive. "The book... is very heavily researched and sourced and so is the script," she told Jill. "Everything in the movie has a source, so that was very, very important to me, because if we're just making something up then I have nothing to hang my hat on," she added.

In order to get her portrayal of the former Vice Presidential candidate just right, Julianne said she spent months with just Sarah's voice in her head. "I used to watch it at night," she said of tuning into Sarah's reality show, "Sarah Palin's Alaska" on TLC. "I did everything I could, absolutely everything I could. I only had two months to prepare. It was pretty brief preparation time, so I listened to her book on tape...

"Everything's on YouTube," Julianne continued. "Everything's documented, so all of her media appearances, all of her speeches, the debate -- I'd listen to it when I was running, I'd listen to it inside the car, I'd work with a vocal coach. It was pretty intense. I did nothing else for those two months." "Game Change," also starring Ed Harris as John McCain and Woody Harrelson as Steve Schmidt, McCain's senior campaign strategist, premieres March 10 at 9 PM on HBO.

Elizabeth Moss is still fed up with her ex-husband Fred Armisen

Mad Man actress Elisabeth Moss has not yet satisfied in divorcing her husband Fred Armisen. In a recent interview she slams her ex but she was careful not to say too much, she did have a scathing observation of the "Saturday Night Live" cast member. "One of the greatest things I heard someone say about him is, 'He's so great at doing impersonations. But the greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person,'" Moss told Page Six magazine. "To me, that sums it up."

"And I think that's...that's it. I've never told anyone that. And I don't want to waste any more of my life talking about it," the "Mad Men" actress added. 29 year old actress married the Saturday Night Live performer, 45, in October 2009; they separated by June of the following year, with Moss filing for divorce in September 2010. Moss, perhaps realizing her comment might come off as harsh told the reporter, "I'm probably gonna get a slap on the wrist. But I've just been such a good girl. And sometimes you just want to be a bad girl for a minute."

The actress also revealed that she and Armisen no longer communicate. Moss, who started out as a child actress, currently plays Peggy Olson on "Mad Men," which will premiere its fifth season on March 25. She had also appeared in "Get Him to the Greek," "The Practice," The West Wing" and "Girl, Interrupted."

The actress also admits that while she enjoys being single for the moment, "I obviously want a partner in life, and I want someone to grow old with." "There's also a nice time when you're young to enjoy being you," she added. "It's fun to go out at night and not know what's going to happen. I'm addicted to and obsessed with my freedom in that sense. I'm having fun!"

Britney Spears: a new judge to enter in the "The X-Factor" judge panel

The news that Britney Spears is reportedly in final negotiations to join "The X Factor" has set the MTV Newsroom on fire. Opinion on whether the pop star is a good fit for the reality singing competition has been sharply divided, so we decided to take on the topic the way we're sure Simon Cowell did before making Spears a reported $10 million offer: a good, old-fashioned pros andcons list. Spears' fiance, agent Jason Trawick, is negotiating the contract which could be signed as soon as next week.

Recently, reports surfaced that the pop superstar was interested in joining the panel, but according to an insider. Spears is signed to Sony Music's RCA Records, which absorbed her original label Jive in 2011 and has exclusive music rights to "X Factor" artists.

During a conference call with reporters in February, Cowell would not confirm that talks had begun with Spears, but did hint that "there's going to be a lot of twists and turns over the next few weeks and a lot of things we're going to announce."

To prepare for the seat alongside judges Cowell and Epic Records chairman L.A. Reid, Spears is undergoing extensive media training. Janet Jackson was also in the running as a potential judge, but reportedly bowed out citing previous commitments to tour.

No word yet on who might take the fourth spot. Two hosts have yet to be named as well. Another high-ranking show exec recently told THR that the perfect candidate would be someone based in Los Angeles who not only has music business success and credentials, but is perhaps a parent and wants to spend time with his or her kids. Clearly, Spears fits the bill. Spears' representative could not be reached for comment. A rep for the show refused to confirm or comment. Fox had no comment.

OH God! we are safe: The Mid-Size Asteroid Won't hit the Earth

The world would be hit like this by Asteroid 2012 Da14
At last NASA calculates out that the near-Earth asteroid 2012 DA14 won't hit our home planet in 2013 as it speculated before. NASA researchers say. The asteroid, which astronomers estimate to be about 150 feet (45 meters) across, will give Earth an uncomfortably close shave on Feb. 15, 2013, coming nearer to our planet than the satellites we've lofted to geostationary orbit. But 2012 DA14 poses no real impact danger on that pass, according to NASA scientists.

"Its orbit about the sun can bring it no closer to the Earth's surface than 3.2 Earth radii on February 15, 2013," researchers with the Near-Earth Object Program Office, at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., wrote in an update today (March 6).

One Earth radius is roughly 3,963 miles (6,378 kilometers) at the equator. So by this reckoning, the nearest 2012 DA14 can get to us next year is 12,680 miles (20,406 km). For comparison, satellites in geosynchronous orbit circle our planet at an altitude of 22,245 miles (35,800 km). Other satellites orbit much lower. The International Space Station, for example, flies at around 240 miles (386 km) above the planet. 2012 DA14 was discovered late last month by astronomers at the La Sagra Observatory in southern Spain. Its path around the sun is roughly similar to that of Earth, and it makes relatively close approaches to our planet twice per orbit.

Calculations show that the space rock came within about 1.5 million miles (2.5 million km) this past Feb. 16, or about six times the distance from Earth to the moon. Next February's much closer encounter has ignited something of a media firestorm, with various outlets publishing stories with headlines such as "Incoming! Asteroid 2012 DA14" and "Tunguska-Sized Asteroid Homing on Earth."

This latter article is referring to the 1908 "Tunguska event," in which a comet or meteoroid exploded above the Podkamennaya Tunguska River in Siberia, flattening about 500,000 acres (2,000 square km) of forest. While 2012 DA14 won't slam into us next February, humanity needs to remain vigilant against the asteroid threat, many researchers say. Huge impacts are a part of our planet's history, after all; one wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago, and it's just a matter of time before another big space rock lines Earth up in its sights, astronomers say.

Stephanie Decker, a mom saved her children in exchange of her legs

Stephanie Decker, a 36 year-old mom from Marysville, saved her children from a collapsing house crushed down by a tornado but lost both her legs as she sheilded her children by her body.

She binded her two children together with a blanket and stood between them and falling debris. Decker has lost one leg above the knee and the other above the ankle, her husband confirmed Monday. She is now in stable condition at a Kentucky hospital, while her 8-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter survived Friday’s storm unhurt.

"I have to live for my kids," Stephanie Decker remembered telling herself as she waited, bleeding

“I told her, ‘They’re here because of you.’ I let her know that nothing else matters," husband Joe Decker said over phone from the University of Louisville Hospital. "I said, ‘You’re going to be here for your kids, and you get to see them grow up.’” Joe Decker was a teacher at Silver Creek High School in Sellersburg when the tornado hit. While his school was locked down, Decker traded text messages with his wife, urging her and the kids to retreat to the basement of their Marysville home. He revealed:

“Then she sent me a text saying the whole house was shaking, and I texted her back and asked her if everything was OK. I asked her about six or seven times and got no response. That kind of freaked me out.” He later learned that Stephanie had seen the tornado approaching across the family’s 15-acre property, and wrapped her kids in a blanket before lying on top of them. Decker continues:

“She said she felt the whole house start to go, and then she felt like it moved them about before it kind of wedged her in there, but she was able to keep the kids from moving away.” Stephanie has been scheduled for more surgery on her legs again this Thursday, a hospital spokeswoman confirmed. Good luck to her and the family – and talk about one brave mom.

OREO, older than the Titanic, still keeps it's worth as young among the old and young

OREo has observed its 100 year's of successful career on March 6. In 1912 on this day this chocolate flavored biscuit started its journey to be the world's favorite cookie. It makes “Milk’s favorite cookie” older than the sinking of the Titanic (by a month), women’s voting rights, and the Russian Revolution, just to name a few.

To celebrate, Oreo’s parent company, Nabisco (a division of Kraft Foods), has released a limited edition “Birthday Cake” Oreo. It features a simpler cookie design that hearkens back to the original, early 20th -century Oreo logo, as well as that iconic vanilla frosting mixed with rainbow sprinkles.

Oreos were born in a Nabisco factory in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City.  They were sold for 25 cents per pound and packaged in cookie tins. Originally designed to attract British customers, Oreos were first called “Oreo Biscuits.” In 1921, the name changed to the "Oreo Sandwich," then the “Oreo Crème Sandwich” in 1948. The mid-1970s brought the unwieldy “Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookie” name change. But by then the brand name had become so closely associated with any chocolate cookie sandwich with a vanilla frosting center that most people simply called them “Oreos.”

Over 490 billion Oreos have been sold in the cookie’s first 100 years, making them far and away the best-selling cookie of the 20th century and an indelible part of American culture. Many people cite the fun of the act of eating an Oreo as a big part of its appeal, with some people eating the sandwiches whole, some pulling them apart, and many dipping them in milk. According to Kraft, an estimated 50 percent of Oreo eaters pull the cookies apart, and women are more likely to do so than men.

The Oreo brand has gotten a lot of ad campaign mileage out of the many ways to eat the cookie: A long-running campaign in the 1990s featured people pulling Oreo sandwiches apart to settle disputes, in the same way you’d flip a coin. Oreo’s current marketing revolves around the Double Stuf Racing League (DSRL), wherein celebrities like the Manning brothers (Eli and Peyton), Shaquille O’Neal, and Donald Trump compete against each other in Oreo-related contests.

Arguably one of the most successful and enduring packaged food products of the modern era (and not experiencing the popularity dropoff suffered by some other formerly iconic food products, including Twinkies), the Oreo brand hasn’t been without its missteps. For one, Oreos are very similar to another chocolate cookie sandwich, the Hydrox cookie. Since Hydrox cookies were introduced in 1908, speculation abounds that Nabisco stole the Oreo idea from Hydrox manufacturer Sunshine, proceeding to dominate the chocolate cookie sandwich market until Hydrox cookies were finally discontinued in 1999.

Furthermore, the Oreo hasn’t been immune to evolving concerns over nutrition and the effect of processed foods on the American diet over its 100-year existence. The crème filling, in particular, has been a sticking point: It was originally made with lard, which was replaced with trans fats in response to public health concerns. But in 2003, Oreos came under fire for those trans fats, and the crème is now manufactured using non-hydrogenated vegetable oil.

Still, the Oreo brand has endured and expanded into several varieties sold in dozens of countries. Some of the more interesting flavors include a Green Tea Oreo (sold in Japan and China), a Banana Split Oreo (briefly available in 2008), and a Blueberry Ice Cream Oreo (sold in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand).

NASCAR gets extra pace by jet-dryer trucks in the events of full of fun

NASCAR officials has announced a dramatic change to get the car an extra pace car with flashing lights behind the last jet-dryer truck on the track in all races in all three series -- Sprint Cup, Nationwide and the Camping World Trucks Series.

The day ends with Kevin Harvick running out of fuel ("I was a lap short."), Denny Hamlin botching his victory burnout ("New surfaces are not my particular forte."), and team owner Joe Gibbs brushing off questions about a man he once employed with the Redskins (Gregg Williams, the NFL's Most Wanted). On the track, it's getting warm. A worker on pit road sprays Coca-Cola on his portion of track, helping the tires grip a little better. Down the way, a female fan hops over a barricade, pleading with Joey Logano to sign her shirt.

No one seems to care. In NASCAR, the relationship between fans and the competitors remains amazingly close, trusting and unpretentious, blowing away what you see in most other sports.

The change, which was explained to the Sprint Cup teams during the drivers' meeting Sunday morning at Phoenix International Raceway, comes after Juan Pablo Montoya's car spun into a jet-dryer truck during a caution period in the Daytona 500 Monday night.

The collision caused an enormous fireball explosion on the backstretch from the kerosene fuel tank on the jet dryer. Both vehicles were severely damaged by the fire, but both drivers escaped without serious injuries.

The drivers of the jet-dryer trucks also will wear helmets and fire suits during each race, but that is a change agreed upon by officials at race tracks that play host to NASCAR events, not a rule instituted by NASCAR.
